This may be the most beautiful piece of walnut we have ever worked on. It is such a unique piece for several reasons; it is the center butt log of the walnut tree, meaning it is the butt or base of the tree for the initial cut and is the center piece of the base. It is the most valuable part of the tree. It also has the crotch of the tree and beautiful burling. To find these characateristics in one piece is just amazing. 
 
We milled this slab flat from 3" down to 2" and also finished with three coats of semi-gloss polyurethane. Measuring 75" long, 45" in its widest place and 22" in its narrowest. 
 
The metal legs are 3" Wide x 1/4" thick with "X" cross bracing. Each leg is designed to hold up to 300lbs. 
 
The table weighs approximately 150 lbs.
